ABOUT US The Greater Toronto Area Chapter (formerly the Southern Ontario Chapter) of the AEE received its charter in 1999, becoming the first chapter in Canada. From its modest beginnings, the chapter has continued to grow and develop to meet the needs of the energy engineering community. Our regular events, occurring six times per year in the Toronto area, cover topics in the energy efficiency, conservation and sustainability industries. We are recognized by the Engineering Institute of Canada as professional education, enabling you to earn Professional Development Hours (PDH) to maintain your professional certifications! |

President’s Message Association of Energy Engineers – Greater Toronto Area (AEEGTA) Dear AEEGTA Members, It is with great pride and gratitude that I serve as President of AEEGTA, a chapter dedicated to advancing the energy profession and empowering our members to create a more sustainable, energy-efficient, and resilient future. At the heart of AEE’s mission is the commitment to fostering professional development, promoting energy innovation, and connecting AEEGTA industry leaders with emerging professionals. This mission continues to guide our chapter's work here in the Greater Toronto Area as we grow, adapt, and lead in an evolving energy landscape. Over the past years, our collective efforts have driven meaningful impact, not only through thought-provoking technical sessions, industry panels, and educational events, but also through the strength of our shared values: collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and leadership in sustainability. Every initiative we take on is a reflection of the commitment and passion of our diverse membership base. Looking ahead, I am incredibly optimistic about what we can accomplish together. Our chapter will continue to offer robust programming; from PDH opportunities and mentorship events to industry forums and networking engagements; each designed to inspire innovation and empower professionals at every stage of their careers.
